Abstract :
Electricite de France (EDF), like many utilities of major countries, looks for ways to improve availability and safety of its nuclear units. PSAD is an on-line monitoring system which provides plant personnel and experts with an efficient and user-friendly aid in decision making for the detection of failures occurring on the main components of nuclear power stations. It has a flexible architecture so it can accept both existing and new monitoring functions
