Abstract
Large phased array provides high angular resolution capability. However the tolerances of array element positions degrade the array beampattern. Beamforming process is essential to minimize the degradation. A new beamforming algorithm depending on the Parseval´s Theorem only is discovered. This algorithm is formulated with an optimization process which tries to equalize the total energy at the array input and output. The algorithm places no strick requirement on the input signals and therefore is believed to be scene-free. It appears to be suitable for any large phased array system. The algorithm and computer simulation are presented.
