Abstract :
The significance of a new type of organic electronic crystals based on substituted N-phenylphthalic imidine have been illustrated in this paper. Two crystal materials: N-(phenyl) phthalic imidine (I, C14H9NO2) and N-(p-methylphenyl) phthalic imidine (I,C15H11NO2) were prepared and confirmed by IR, NMR, MS and elementary analysis. The crystal and molecular structures were determined by X-ray diffraction. The relative dielectric constants εr, piezoelectric parameters d33 and refractive index n were measured respectively. The synthesis preparation, molecular structure, dielectric and piezoelectric and optical properties were discussed
