  • Abstract
The r-move machine is a single instruction computer which uses hardware mechanisms to map a higher level abstract machine onto the available hardware resources. The only instruction is a MOVE; which takes a single source operand and moves it to a destination. Conventional operations, such as arithmetic, logical and control flow, are implemented in hardware modules with the operand and result registers memory mapped into the program´s data space. A variety of modules might be implemented on a given instance of the r-move machine thereby allowing the machine to be tailored for particular applications
