Title :
EQEC 2009 Tutorial speakers metamaterials
Author_Institution :
Univ. of Salford, Salford, UK
Abstract :
A tutorial addressing the state-of-the-art of modern metamaterials is presented. Although negative phase media will be discussed in detail, a broader view is adopted in which fascinating nanostructures form the basis of potential applications. Both nonlinearity and gyroelectric behaviour are included to illustrate the opportunities for tunability and power control.
