Abstract
Application of molten salts is a prospect and promising trend in the development of high-temperature technology. Problems of using ionic melts for creation of high-temperature galvanic cells and converters are in study, but the R&D situation in this field allows to count on wide perspectives. The received experimental data on the influence of the temperature and the cation and anion composition of the melt upon the rate of corrosion of tantalum in researched media will allow to estimate the opportunity and expediency of this metal application as a structure material for creation of high-temperature galvanic cells of particular parameters
