Abstract
A machine vision system for high speed inspection of light sensitive tablets is presented. The described system uses time delay and integration (TDI) cameras in an industrial application. All computer vision algorithms are implemented on a specially designed multiprocessor system. A pass or fail signal will be generated online. We propose design considerations as well as the resulting algorithms. Finally we give some results, collected from experiences of the production system in practice
