Abstract
Slot waveguides are promising building blocks of photonic chips. Chalcogenide glasses having large refractive index allow strong light trapping and guiding on the subwavelength scale. These glasses are known as highly nonlinear material transparent in mid infrared. In this paper, group velocity dispersion in slot waveguides made of chalcogenide glass is evaluated in a wide spectral range. Single slot waveguides of various profiles of refractive index and photonic crystal waveguides with the slot array cladding are considered.
