Abstract :
The radial construction of RF excited multi-channel slab discharge CO2 laser is introduced into the solid laser. The solid gain medium can be made by radial construction and output N laser beams. The radial slab is made of Nd-doped glass rod by cutting precisely. The Nd doping level is 3% by weight. In our initial experiment, four flash lamps are arranged around the radial slab to produce a homogeneous pumping profile. This experiments were performed at pulse repletion of 1 Hz. The pulse energy was measured to be 67 mJ.
