Abstract :
Multidimensional circuits are based on the same fundamental principles as classical electrical circuits, i.e., they obey Kirchhoff´s laws and consist of resistors, capacities, inductivities, etc.. However, all currents and voltages are now functions of more than one independent variable. The system theoretic description of such networks leads to generalized stability and causality concepts. The behaviour of nD networks can be described by means of partial differential equations
