Abstract
A report is presented of the design, development, and deployment of ANSWERS, a knowledge-base system for decision support for auditors. The system is used in audit planning to identify high-risk areas, so that audit effort can be properly focused and so that the audit client can be advised of observed weaknesses in procedures and controls
