Abstract :
The initial results obtained from propagation measurements with the OLYMPUS satellite at 20 GHz are presented. These include distributions of the copolar and crosspolar signals received during various weather conditions by the propagation measurement system which is located at British Aerospace in Stevenage. It is believed that such distributions will enable the characterization of the propagation effects which are dominant at these frequency bands. To this end a set of density functions were derived based on the signal distributions of recorded propagation events
