Abstract
The launch of the European Space Agency´s experimental satellite OLYMPUS in July 1989 offered the opportunity to collect propagation data at 12.5, 20 and 30 GHz and, therefore, a measurement programme was started at the BT Laboratories, Martlesham Heath. Some of the results obtained from these measurements have already been reported (see Howell and Thompson, Proc. of the 21st European Microwave Conf., p.968-73, Stuttgart, 1991). The authors extend the results reported so far. In addition to the satellite measurements, concurrent 12.5, 20 and 30 GHz sky noise measurements, made using radiometers directed along the OLYMPUS slant-path, and on-site rainfall rate measurements were also carried out
