Abstract :
The modulation control discussed is able to eliminate the negative sequence voltage caused by the load imbalance. The effectiveness of the modulation control in eliminating the negative sequence is verified by simulation results. With the modulation control the application of a current source GTO inverter can be extended to supplying unbalanced remote loads without any other form of AC support. Filters for the third current harmonic may be required depending on the degree of the load imbalance
