Abstract
The use of graphical techniques for model definition in simulation packages offers many advantages over conventional language definitions, in particular the higher level of simulation integrity possible with this approach. This paper describes some of the design philosophies and features of the graphical interface which forms part of the ESL simulation software suit. ESL (European Space Agency Simulation Language) is a continuous systems simulation software environment, designed originally to meet the requirements of the European Space Agency for simulating spacecraft subsystems
