Develops a qualitative reasoning environment for modelling and simulation (QREMS) of dynamic physical systems. In this environment, qualitative reasoning and numerical reasoning are integrated so that both qualitative models and numerical models can be represented and manipulated together. This environment supports model building in four aspects: graphical interface, automatic model generation, model explanation and validation
