Abstract
Arc-suppression coil is a widely used apparatus in 10-35 KV level power network, which is a controllable reactor essentially and the reactance of the Arc-suppression coil can be regulated accordantly with the variety of capacitive current. The paper proposes a new Arc-suppression coil excited by AC current and analyzes characteristics of the coil by means of simulation and experiment, also gets some useful conclusions that will provide references for the future application.
