  • Abstract
    Results on the measurement of flexural and longitudinal acoustic waves propagating in an optical fibre are presented. Using the extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometric technique, parameters such as the acoustical wavelength and the acoustical phase velocity can be assessed.
