Abstract :
The most common method of attacks experienced today is by means of denial of service (DoS) and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. This work gives a detailed overview of these attacks. It presents the current trends that a DDoS attack follows and the rate of infection today, compared to previous infections. Furthermore this paper introduces the possibility of a DDoS attack with the mobile phone as the master. It predicts the rate of infection and the consequences of such an attack.
