Abstract
Dual band composite elements are introduced for proposed use in remote sensing synthetic aperture radar. The aim is to reduce measurement time in weather remote sensing by allowing simultaneous dual band radar operation. The other benefit is to reduce infrastructure mass of the radar system on the aircraft platform. The two bands of operation considered here are 1.5GHz and 5.3GHz.
