  • Abstract
    The primary program principles and techniques of the development of integrated CAD software for detailed design of steel Industrial plant structures, including the frame work, hierarchic data structure, 3D modeling algorithm and automatic generation of 2D drawings and CNC data, are introduced. An intelligent modeling system for detailed design is developed. In the modeling system, a 3D solid model can be easily constructed. Moreover, structure properties and design requirements are integrated into the intelligent model. Therefore, details of the structure can be designed automatically and edited visually according to design knowledge, and 2D drawings and CNC data can be generated automatically.
