Abstract
Studies the issues involved in the use of computer aided design and drafting (CADD) systems and the applicability of hypertext abstractions in increasing the effectiveness of the CADD applications. Viewed from a theoretical perspective, hypertext abstractions provide significant possibilities in overcoming current limitations in the use of CADD. Based on a theory of decision support systems, the authors describe the design of a HyperCADD system for CADD applications, which also extends the concept of hypertext
