Abstract :
A concurrent program restructuring system called PRIME is proposed. To simplify the program analysis, a special language named NCC/i has been developed. The aim of NCC/i is to solve scientific calculation´s with a number of concurrent processes which perform calculations with the iterative method. There are various kinds of scientific calculations which can be described in this language. It is relatively easy to analyze the behavior of processes in an NCC/i program. PRIME analyzes them, and restructures the program by merging fine grain processes into coarser ones. Through evaluation with an actual program, it is confirmed that the process merging by PRIME contributes to the enhancement of system performance
