Abstract
This paper introduces the development of an enhanced controller for resistance spot welding. The control system based on AduC812 embedded microcontroller with true RMS detecting IC is described in detail. In accordance with the characteristics of the welding process, an improved fuzzy approach for welding current control with varying factors and varying structure has been implemented. Experimental results proved that the controller and its algorithm are applicable.
