  • Abstract
An automated voting module is a tool found in many `decision room´-type systems. Although common, there has been no research into the effects of automated voting on group process and outcome. It seems plausible that differences in the way manual and electronically supported groups vote may also lead to differences in the decision or group members´ satisfaction. The effect of group size is another area in need of further experimental research. Most of the experimental research in electronic versus manual groups has examined groups of size six or smaller. The author explores some tentative differences between large and small groups using manual versus automated communication and voting processes
