Abstract :
Embedded FMS has many advantages, such as control flexibility, simplicity, good real-time, low cost etc. Open CNC system integrated embedded FMS can solve the existing problems between traditional NC system and industrialized production of NC application software. This paper adopts the structure of "NC embedded PC type", designed an open CNC system based on the IPC and movement control card. The open CNC system was integrated into the embedded FMS through the Ethernet. It provides a good foundation for CNC system network, and makes it more easily to control the NC machining unit in the FMS. It is adapt to the requirements of the industrial development for NC technology of network.
