Abstract :
The design of an environment that supports computer aided meetings of teams requires a multidisciplinary cooperation between specialists in the field of CSCW and in conference room and furniture design in order to master all requirements of such an environment. With this in mind, the paper describes the design process and the experiences gained while designing the Hohenheim CATeam Room. This room offers a computer supported meeting environment. In an iterative process of defining the CATeam Room requirements and developing design alternatives, a round room and conference table design were found to be most useful for the given requirements
