Abstract
A compact dual port diversity antenna is designed for LTE (2.5-2.7 GHz) application. The antenna structure is optimized to provide the required bandwidth of 7.7%, the isolation of -24 dB and a small volume. The S-parameters of the antenna and the 3D radiation patterns are presented. The diversity performance of the antenna is evaluated in a mobile Rayleigh fading channel using 3D farfield pattern and different angle of arrival (AoA) models for different wave propagation environments. The envelope correlation coefficient and diversity gain are presented.
