Abstract :
A rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) that is excited using an outer-fed square spiral strip has been studied theoretically and experimentally, where a circular polarization over a broad bandwidth of ~6.7% has been attained. Furthermore, it has been demonstrated that that the operating frequency can be tuned by shifting the spiral position along the DRA surface. The structure has been rigorously modeled using a method of moments (MoM) model.
