Abstract
One of the most interesting features of trees produced is the difference in the structure of the trees when several blocks of apparently identical material are compared. Another interesting feature is the sporadic growth of the trees. There can be periods of high growth rate interspersed with periods of slow growth followed by high growth rates again. Any attempt to successfully model the growth of trees must in some way be able to simulate these effects
