Abstract :
An attempt was made to verify which of the protective circuits used, in several laboratories, for the execution of a power frequency disruptive discharge test have the better performance, using the results of tests performed on 1-meter post insulators without any protection as standard values. The tests were made with 5 voltage applications and repeated with 10 and 20 applications, for each type of protection used, in order to verify the agreement between the medium value of each group of test results. The dispersion of the results was also investigated
