Abstract :
fThree kinds of basalt spraying powder were made by adding different mass proportions of TiO2, the weight ratios of TiO2 were respectively 6%, 12%, 18%. Basalt powder mixed with TiO2was sprayed on the surface of 45 steel with the method of atmospheric plasma spraying, then the non-metallic coatings were formed. The thermal conductivity and wear properties of the coatings were studied in this paper. The thermal conductivity of the sprayed and un-sprayed workpieces was measured under different temperatures in the YBF-2 thermal conductivity tester. Experimental results show that the overall thermal conductivity after sprayed was significantly lower than that before sprayed, meanwhile the thermal conductivity is not affected by the temperature at low temperature. The friction and wear test of the coating with basalt powder were carried out in the WMM-1-type friction and wear test machine. The wear experimental results express that the mass loss of the coating increase as the speed increasing, but the wear resistance increases with the increase of the content of TiO2.
