  • Abstract
    The aim of the paper is to present the Power Electronics Laboratory, LABEP, which is part of the Polytechnic Institute of Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Minas Gerais (PUC Minas), Brazil. It focuses on electronics design automation, EDA tool use in the laboratory for development of practical courses and research projects. First, it presents the hardware and software infrastructure available. To exemplify the development of practical classes using the infrastructure, the article presents a step by step procedure for the study of the triphase thyristors inverter. The results of the procedure are presented and analyzed
