Abstract
A practical computational method for preliminary dimensioning of high voltage SF6-insulated buses is proposed. The method is based on empirical data on the electric strength of a coaxial-cylinder electrode configuration. The computational procedure applied to the design of minimal gas clearances inside the 123 kV metal-class bus construction is presented by a way of example
