Abstract :
The paper presents a new promising time-frequency analysis method with Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) for vibration Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) in rotor systems. An application of HHT on a structured simulation signal is proposed aiming to give the advantages of HHT by compared with wavelet analysis. The analysis on the experimental vibration signals from a single-span-two-disc test rig of rotor systems are made by applying HHT. The results show that the HHT is effective and accurate for vibration fault detection and diagnosis of rotor systems.
