Abstract
EM directed-energy pulse trains (11EDEPTs). Addresses the solutions described by Ziolkowski (1989). Ziolkowski´s work was chosen because he has related EDEPTs to other directed-energy solutions, and because his work is recent and relatively complete. Furthermore, he has attempted an assessment of the realizability of EDEPT solutions, which is the primary focus of the paper. Following a very brief summary of the theory of EDEPT solutions, Ziolkowski´s array realization is investigated. Results from Ziolkowski´s simulation are evaluated in the context of diffraction limits and are compared with results obtained for a simple Gaussian pulse of similar frequency content
