Abstract :
Archangel Avionics, Inc. has developed a solid-state, computer-driven electronic flight instrument system and engine instrument crew alert system (EFIS/EICAS) which enhances the efficiency and ease of flight management and is within the cost range of the general aviation (GA) pilot. This system which uses an 8.5" by 11.25" sunlight-readable, LCD touch-screen, replaces all 23 individual panel instruments in a typical single-engine aircraft, with the exception of the radio stack. Archangel\´s EFIS/EICAS includes all the engine gauges and audio/video annunciation required to manage a single turbine or reciprocating engine of 4 to 8 cylinders, including all-cylinder EFT/CHT monitoring. The flight instruments include a 35,000 foot altimeter and full flight director with autopilot output
