Abstract
The authors examine the performance degradation of the generalised likelihood ratio (GLR) algorithm in the presence of two types of nonhomogeneity. They note that Chen and Reed (1991) contains a study of the modified sample matrix inversion (MSMI) performance with a different signal contamination model. For convenience of the discussion they confine their attention only to the temporal processing part of a multichannel system. The extension of the results to the spatial processing (e.g., the array processing) and the joint spatial-temporal domain processing theoretically straightforward
