Abstract
A standard goal of ATR algorithms has been to quantify and model the background clutter in order to better understand its interaction with the embedded targets. In this paper, local fractal dimension estimation techniques are applied along with the necessary preprocessing unique to the fractal processing of high-speckle SAR imagery
