Abstract
Propagation measurements are reported from an experiment designed to assess the millimetre wave forward attenuation and the scattering characteristics of foliage and of certain building structures. The measurements, made at 38 GHz, indicate the co-polarised and cross polarised characteristics of various types of tree foliage and man made structures. These unique data will find application in the systems design of proposed multipoint video distributions systems (MVDS) and in the general area of the operation of PCN millimetre wave links
