Abstract :
A review of typical works over the last decade on the investigation of the voltage-current characteristics of dielectric liquids is presented. It is shown that the voltage-current characteristics depend on the nature and purity of the liquid, on the range of the electric field, on the electrode material, etc. A comparison of these characteristics with `universal´ characteristics is carried out. A common point of view for the representation of voltage-current characteristics is proposed
