Abstract
This paper briefly presents a model for prediction of single path attenuation and comparison of the new model with the CCIR model and the beacon signals received in Singapore. The prediction model is formulated to calculate the occurrence probabilities of rain attenuation along a propagation path. This paper will briefly describe how the cumulative rainfall rate distribution is modelled using power law relationship proposed by Segal and later adopted by Moupfourma (1985)
