Abstract :
A wide-band microstrip-fed planar log-periodic antenna has been developed. The antenna exhibited a return loss of better than 10 dB over about 60% bandwidth from 3 to 11.6 GHz. It possessed a gain of 11 dBi and good radiation characteristics. The use of a microstrip feed produces a completely planar antenna which is compatible with microwave and millimeter-wave hybrid (MIC) and monolithic (MMIC) integrated circuits.
