A new ferrite grid absorber for screened rooms

A new ferrite grid absorber panel is described which shows substantially improved reflectivity over conventional ferrite tiles. This allows screened 3 m (or larger) test ranges to be constructed for radiated emission testing for the EMC Directive or for filing with FCC. Existing rooms can readily be converted to improve their usability for both emissions and susceptibility measurements. The availability using this material of screened chambers of moderate size and cost will enable test facilities to make more accurate, repeatable and reliable measurements, that are unaffected by environmental or ambient factors, for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with the EMC Directive
