Abstract :
As the most popular partial discharge detector in Japan, a tuning type detector has been developed. A basic detector CD-5, a balanced detector BL-1, and a logically controlled noise discriminator ND-1 for the suppression of noise, as well as a high-frequency CT detector HECT-1 coupled to the ground wire of the test object and a computer-aided partial discharge measuring system CAPS-1 are introduced and discussed in connection with the future development of the tuning type detector
