Abstract :
Tasks assigned to the JEMI Joint Test Force (JFT) included: (1) developing a methodology which would provide system designers and operational planners with a capability to predict interservice EMI on the battlefield; (2) determining the effects of EMI on systems and operators; and (3) developing operational workarounds (i.e. alternative operating procedures) that would enable operators of weapon systems subjected to debilitating EMI to perform their missions. The culmination of the three-year JEMI joint test and evaluation performed by the JTF was a large-scale field test designated the Controlled Test. The authors outline the tests, equipment involved and test results
