Abstract
For power system harmonic studies, it is often of interest to have measurements at all buses in the system. However, measurements are expensive and it is usually not possible to perform such measurements. In this paper, a simple method for estimating the harmonic active power losses in a distribution network, using a limited number of measurements, is presented. It is also shown how many measurement instruments that are needed to estimate the losses. It may happen that the number of measurement instruments needed cannot be fulfilled. In the paper, it is shown, using real harmonic measurements, how situations like this can be treated
