Abstract
With the diffusion of LV electronic devices, the presence of harmonics and continuous DC components in electrical power networks has increased. In the presence of an operating condition in which voltages and currents are no longer sinusoidal, power factor losses become significant. φ in fact no longer represents the phase displacement between voltage and current. Here, the authors propose a possible characterization of an electrical network from the viewpoint of energy transmission via new parameters. All of this has been rendered possible due to the diffusion of static energy meters
