Maintaining standards for class 0.2S electricity meters

In Britain, with the privatisation of the electricity supply industry, there has been an increasing demand for precision meters for measuring large energy consumptions. Solid state electricity meters are being produced by meter manufacturers to meet the requirements of IEC 687 for class 0.2S and class 0.5S. Such requirements have placed increasing demands on laboratories measurement capabilities.
