  • Abstract
    Flow field analysis is the key to design and improve a torque converter. It is the principle test method to research flow field by using laser technique. Making use of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique tested the flow field of a torque converter. Digital image processing and analysis were applied to obtain the velocity distribution of internal field. The results indicated that the velocity of tracer particle could be used as accuracy initial condition of numerical simulation.
